Tempo Privacy Policy
Tempo is a time tracker for Mac, iPhone and Apple Watch. This policy explains what information Tempo handles and where it goes. The short version: Justek does not collect, see, or store any of your data.
What Tempo stores
Tempo keeps only what you enter into it:
- Clients, job names, and categories you create
- Time entries: start and end times and any notes you add
- Your app settings, such as idle detection and week start day
This data is saved on your device. If you are signed in to iCloud, Tempo also syncs it to the private CloudKit database in your own iCloud account so your devices stay in step. Data in your private iCloud database is accessible only to you; Justek cannot read it. Apple's handling of iCloud data is described in Apple's Privacy Policy.
What Tempo does not do
- No accounts with Justek, and no sign-up
- No analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind
- No third-party SDKs
- No sending your data to Justek or anyone else
- No location, contacts, health, or other personal data
On the Mac, optional idle detection checks how long the computer has been idle so Tempo can ask what to do with that time. This check happens on your Mac and nothing is recorded or sent.
Retention and deletion
Your data stays until you delete it. You can delete individual entries, jobs, or clients in the app. Deleting the app removes its data from that device; to remove synced data from iCloud, delete it in Tempo before removing the app, or manage it in your device's iCloud storage settings (Settings › [your name] › iCloud › Manage Storage).
TestFlight
If you test Tempo through Apple's TestFlight, Apple may share crash reports and feedback you choose to send with the developer, as described in Apple's TestFlight terms. These do not include your time data.
Children
Tempo is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date.
